What is Quilting Cuddle?
Quilting Cuddle is a groundbreaking new fabric developed by Moda Fabrics in collaboration with Shannon Fabrics. It has the low-pile plush softness of minky but the stability and sewability of quilting cotton — meaning you can piece it with a standard ¼” seam, it nests cleanly, and it works with your regular quilting tools.
No pre-washing needed. Machine wash cool, tumble dry no heat. Use a walking foot, 90/14 stretch needle, and polyester thread for best results.

Is this fabric sold by the metre or as a bundle?
Both! Fabric is available individually (cut in 25cm increments) and as a 10-piece Quilting Cuddle fat quarter bundle. The cheater print (Swoon Cheater Patchwork Multi) is sold separately and is not included in the bundle.
What size is a Fat Quarter?
Approximately 50cm x 55cm.
Will my fabric be sent as one piece?
Yes — multiple units of the same print are cut and sent as one continuous length. Fat quarter bundles are always cut and sent as individual fat quarters.
Do I need to pre-wash Quilting Cuddle?
No pre-washing is needed. Quilting Cuddle is 100% polyester and will not shrink. Simply toss cut pieces in the dryer on no heat for 10 minutes to remove any loose fibres before sewing.
Is Quilting Cuddle suitable for quilters who find minky difficult to sew?
Yes! That’s exactly why Quilting Cuddle is so exciting. It behaves like quilting cotton — stable, easy to piece with a ¼” seam, and no slipping or stretching. Use a walking foot and stretch needle for best results.
