Miss Mollie by Betsy Chutchian for Moda Fabrics is a beautiful reproduction quilting fabric collection inspired by the story of Mollie Dorsey and life in the American West during the mid-1800s.

Mollie Dorsey (1838–1915) was a seamstress who travelled west with her husband during the Colorado gold rush years. Her sewing skills helped support the family as they moved through mining camps and later settled in Denver. It is this story of resourcefulness, sewing and everyday life that inspired Betsy Chutchian’s Miss Mollie collection.

The collection has the warm, timeworn character Betsy’s reproduction fabrics are known for, with antique florals, delicate sprigs, checks, stripes, small geometrics and useful tonal prints. Rich indigo and red sit alongside cheddar, saddle brown, biscuit, weathered blue, green and soft pink, creating a palette that works beautifully for traditional patchwork.
